A joyful beginning
Learn through play, listening, and discovery.
Children can begin with Piano Safari from around three years of age. Fun, hands-on activities create a natural path to reading music, developing good technique, and enjoying the piano from the very beginning.
At the piano
Learning on a grand piano.
Lessons are taught on a grand piano in a supportive, engaging studio environment. Piano Safari forms a strong foundation, enriched with carefully chosen activities that keep each lesson musical and fun.
Materials include Piano Safari, the AMEB program, and the Suzuki method, selected to suit each child’s age, stage, and goals.

AMEB preparation
Sight-reading and aural skills are woven into lessons, so students can steadily build confidence for AMEB examinations while enjoying their regular music-making.
Technique with purpose
Technical skills are developed in a musical, encouraging way so that a secure foundation grows naturally alongside expression and enjoyment.
Studio 2 practice space
Students may use Studio 2 at no additional charge before or after their lesson for independent piano practice and a little extra focused time at the instrument.
Hanon Battle
Technical practice can be fun.
Good piano technique is the foundation for relaxed, confident playing, but repeated exercises can feel uninteresting for children when practised alone. Hanon Battle turns essential technical work into a friendly challenge, giving students a motivating reason to return to the keyboard and improve.
- Students work towards their own personal best, building finger strength, independence, coordination, and control.
- A playful Battle format makes technical practice feel achievable, purposeful, and enjoyable.
- By the time students realise how much progress they have made, secure habits and a strong foundation are already in place.
- Each year, a Battle winner may present at the Tutti Concert and receive a trophy.
